It adopts a complete process of die casting, CNC precision machining and matte black electrostatic painting, featuring high dimensional accuracy, stable assembly performance and consistent appearance, widely used in industrial intelligent devices and electronic equipment.
Engineered for Assembly Precision and Surface Protection – Integrating CNC Machining and CNC Precision Milling for High-Performance Structural Housing
The 1908HDM011 top housing is a thin-walled, This product is one of our CNC machining examples.,closed structural component specifically developed for assembly integration and protective encapsulation in intelligent equipment and industrial electronic devices. Its design balances mechanical strength with weight reduction, making it an ideal choice for compact, high-performance systems.
Manufactured from ADC12 die-cast aluminum alloy, the part offers outstanding formability and structural rigidity. The production begins with high-pressure die casting, which forms the near-net shape of the housing with a wall thickness of 1.8–2.2mm. However, to meet tight assembly tolerances, the component must undergo critical post-casting processes. This is where CNC machining plays a decisive role. Through CNC precision milling, key locating surfaces, mating interfaces, and mounting bosses are machined to exacting flatness and positional accuracy. The flatness of the mating surface is controlled within ≤0.05mm, while mounting hole positions and thread hole positions are held to ±0.05mm and ±0.08mm, respectively. The overall dimension tolerance is maintained at ±0.1mm.
Beyond CNC precision milling, the manufacturing sequence includes stress relief to eliminate residual casting stresses, followed by drilling and tapping operations—also performed on CNC equipment—to ensure thread consistency and alignment. After mechanical processing, the housing is ultrasonically cleaned to remove all cutting fluids and particulates, preparing the surface for final treatment.
The housing receives a matte black electrostatic painting with high-temperature curing, resulting in a uniform, scratch-resistant, and corrosion-resistant finish. This coating not only enhances durability but also provides a professional appearance suitable for exposed or user-accessible equipment. The entire production workflow is validated for stable quality in mass production, enabling the housing to be used in direct assembly without rework.
